U12 Program

CMSA has begun Tier expansion to address the number of teams at specific levels and to provide a better game experience for all players.  This means the traditional Tier 1-6 program has shifted, resulting in refined and expanded tiers based on the number of teams engaged citywide. This is to provide more meaningful competition for all teams.

Two Program Stream Options:

1. Development Plus (formerly Competitive stream) – Academy Provided

• Academy Training weekly session(s)
• City-wide scheduling for games
• Does not guarantee a specific Tier but all registered competitive players will get academy training
• Assessments to select team assignment

2. Development (formerly Recreational stream)

• Lighter training schedule with no academy
• Games normally more centralized but based on CMSA schedule
• Lower pressure so good environment to build confidence before going into the academy program

Team coaches are provided direction and guidance on the curriculum through Villains philosophy so that all teams in the age group are playing with the same principles and ideas. Team coaches will also be reimbursed for coaching licenses upon successful completion as recommended by program leads.

• Continue to grow and develop a passion for the game
• Create and develop players who are confident on the ball

*To Register you must have a PowerUp Member Zone account. Returning families you are able to log in directly and finish off registration. If you are a new player and your old club used PowerUp you are able to login with the same information and transfer your family profile over. If you are a new player and your old club did not use PowerUp you just need to create an account for your family.
