U13

U13-U17: Our program is supported and guided by club staff who hold licenses from ASA, CSA, and UEFA. Team coaches who are volunteers are provided direction and guidance on the curriculum through Villains philosophy so that all teams in the age group are playing with the same principles and ideas. Team coaches will also be reimbursed for coaching licenses upon successful completion as recommended by program leads.

Guiding Philosophy for the U13-17 Program

• Connecting Team sessions to the club game model
• Continue to create individual technical players
• Continue to grow and develop a passion for the game
• Create and develop players who are confident on the ball
• Focus on attacking and defending principles
• Focus on the 4 moments of the game
• Prepare players for beyond Youth Soccer to ensure they are able to compete at whatever level is needed

CMSA Name Change:

1. Development Plus – Competitive (Academy-based program)

• Increased Academy Training
• Intro to Sports Science
• Teams can book Video Recording Packages

2. Development – Recreational ( No academy / Technical sessions)

• Register into GGX for training sessions
• Less pressure and lighter weekly schedule

APDL Information: Those looking for information on APDL ( High Performance Alberta Wide Program) please click the Program tab and select AYSL. U13 players in each new August season will become the next intake group into our APDL program. 

*To Register you must have a PowerUp Member Zone account. Returning families you are able to log in directly and finish off registration. If you are a new player and your old club used PowerUp you are able to login with the same information and transfer your family profile over. If you are a new player and your old club did not use PowerUp you just need to create an account for your family.
