Welcome to Calgary Villains FC

Dear Villains Families,

If you are re-registering your child with our club, welcome home. For those new members joining Villains for the first time, We would personally like to extend you a warm welcome into the Villains Family. Our club has been operating officially since 1981 and has developed some great players over the course of that time. Calgary Villains FC offers programs from U3-Adult as well as Grassroots, Recreational and Development Streams. We are the only club in the city that has grassroots to Major league Programs and that is exciting for us so that our players can stay in the club beyond their Youth careers. We were also awarded the prestigious National Youth Club License in 2020 which allows our top U13 and above programs to play in the Alberta Youth Soccer League.

We have recently opened up a brand new Turf Free Span Training facility for our players!  It is 19000 SQFT of Turf ( No pillars), team rooms, presentation centre, parents mezzanine, offices, reception and weight room. This is centrally located in the city right beside the Hotel Blackfoot.

We are also home to the only Uefa Pro Certified Coach in the city in Munib Koric who was selected to do his apprenticeship At Real Madrid in 2018. This licensing is the highest achievement in world soccer and we are proud to have Munib running our Academy program.  We have a few goals in mind when players enter our program but the two main focuses are around player development, and personal development. When a player enters our program we want to instill a passion, love and skillset in soccer, but also as important, is helping shape the player beyond the pitch. Soccer is a great vehicle to open up pathways beyond the pitch and we are thrilled to be apart of that journey.

We have developed many players into National teams, Residency Programs, Countless University Programs and Professional Programs across Europe. We are also proud to see many teams sign in U7-U8 with their school buddies and graduate our program at U17 with the same group of players and continue into the adult program inside the club. We have had many alumni come back from playing Youth and continue into our Men’s and Women’s adult program. One of the best achievements we have as a club is when former players give back to the club in coaching roles. We have on coaching and program staff 8 current players who were involved in Youth, Adult and are now involved in coaching or paid roles in the club.  This is extremely rewarding for us to see and allows our players to be trained by those who truly have Villains DNA running through them.

Our goal is to find the right place in our club for your family and always focus on the long term player development model to ensure this will be achieved. So if your child’s goal is to try soccer for the first time, play with their best friends from school, or develop and look for a University Scholarship or beyond we have the pathway and programs available for you.
